Change your beliefs – change your life!

Dear friends

I feel really compelled to share this information on Beliefs, as they hold the key to what’s holding us back in our lives.  If your life doesn’t look like the way you want it too…..you can be sure you have some limiting beliefs sabotaging your mind.

So, first off…what are beliefs? Beliefs are what we believe about ourselves and the world around us.  Most of our beliefs are created during childhood from our parents, culture, religion, location of where we live etc.  I like to show my clients this image below: In the centre there is a perfect diamond (this diamond is you at birth), as we start to grow and learn we take on the beliefs of our parents and what we see around us.  I liken it too putting on your parents glasses…we have no choice but to take on their beliefs about themselves and the world.

Lets get back to the image below that I show my clients:  As we grew we started to forget who we are and build barriers around ourselves, all the fears and hurts that we experience triggers us to build more barriers.  We then start to live from these barriers, believing that is who we are.  We feel unhappy and unfulfilled because our soul knows the truth of who we are but we are covered with all these negative layers.  The exciting news is, is that there is an amazingly easy technique called FasterEFT that can literally clear these limiting beliefs and get us back to who we are 🙂

What does 2017 have in store for you?

Numerology has been used for thousands of years to help determine the meaning in the greater cosmic plan. Each number in your date of birth can be reduced to a single vibration. The numbers in your birthdate reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies. Your personal year is important in determining your most fulfilling life direction. It identifies your skills and abilities, the negative traits that you must balance, and even the motivation and purpose of your life for that year.

Below is how to calculate your personal year for 2017.

Convert the day, month and coming year down to single digit form.

Example: If your birthday is July 20, then write:

Day: 20 = 2+0 = 2 Month: July is the 7th month = 7 Year: 2017= 2+1+7 = 10 = 1+0 = 1

Add 2 + 7 + 1 = 10

1+0 = 1

Your personal year for 2017 is 1.

Personal Year Number 1 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 1 is a year of new beginnings and more energy.

The year generally provides opportunities for starting new projects and the energy to follow the inclination. More so than last year, the person feels a desire to move forward, to improve situations, to assert their individuality, and to get on with life.

This tends to be an active year with many decisions to make.

In some respects, life feels like it’s beginning anew. 

Personal Year Number 2 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 2 is a year of attention on relationships — social, romantic, friend, sibling, business, teamwork. The year tends to encourage participation in team projects.

Cooperative associations are more important. There’s a tendency to use diplomacy and tact to repair or strengthen relationships. Intuition, emotions, and sensitivity tend to be enhanced. It can be a busy year, with seemingly endless demands on your time.

The year can revitalize peace of mind. It is a good time to strengthen sincere friendships. 

Personal Year Number 3 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 3 is a year of increased creative and inspirational energy.

Creative expression, creative inspiration, more opportunities for social interaction — all these tend to be more present.

Creative expression may be through personal artistic endeavors or a deeper association with the arts. Creative inspiration may be an expression of imagination. Enthusiasm is more abundant, as is a desire to entertain.

It’s likely to be a colorful and eventful year. 

Personal Year Number 4 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 4 is a year of focus, work, discipline, and opportunities to enhance the security of the future.

It is a practical year. A pragmatic year. And a resourceful year. A year of paying attention to details and a tendency to focus on building a firm and secure foundation for the future.

The year tends to demand a lot of work — steady, conscientious, application of proven methods to reach personally-established goals.

Goals tend to be clear and reachable, and a method determined that virtually assures the goal will be accomplished. 

Personal Year Number 5 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 5 brings the inclination to express a personal sense of freedom.

This year, it is likely to be easier to get out of established habits and patterns of behavior than in most previous years, with a tendency to do so. It’s a year of changes because there’s a tendency to be interested in new things and to follow whim. The changes experienced this year can be thrilling and inspiring.

New opportunities and new conditions tend to manifest in response to the year’s broader fields of interest and activity.

There tends to be an inner push to go do something, anything, so long as it’s a new experience and an expression of the sense of personal freedom.

Personal Year Number 6 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 6 brings additional attention to domestic affairs and family-related responsibilities. It is a year of home, harmony, beliefs, and responsibility.

It also tends to be a duty year, so to speak — being needed in many directions and people making more demands. It is also a year when maintaining harmony in the home tends to matter more. And being neighborly.

There are likely to be enhanced feelings of goodwill.

There tends to be more responsibility, love, self-sacrifice, protection of family members, sympathy, and compassion. And beauty.

Personal Year Number 7 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 7 brings contemplation and introspection.

It’s a year with a higher likelihood of personal reflection and attention on becoming ever more perfect — a year of introspection, of understanding more about spiritual nature. There’s a tendency to analyze everything, to figure out more of one’s life purpose.

There’s also a tendency to spend more time alone, by choice, getting acquainted with new inner vistas and enhanced intuition, including a better understanding of personal emotions and spiritual essence.

There’s a higher appreciation of quality in products and services, and in honest expression during communication with others.

Personal Year Number 8 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 8 brings energies related to business and material accumulation.

This tends to be a year of achievement, of reward — a year to make strides in business, organization of projects, employment, promotions, monetary compensation, or the accumulation of possessions. A year of accomplishment.

A desire to better ones financial condition comes with this year.

Monetary gains are likely. Material rewards come more easily because you tend to focus on them. Actionable opportunities are noticed more, again because the focus tends to be open to seeing opportunities. This is a year of action, efficiency, and material gain.

 Personal Year Number 9 

The energy represented by the numerology personal year number 9 brings idealism and humanitarianism. There is more concern for the welfare of humanity, and less prejudice and judgement. More compassion and tolerance and benevolence, less blame.

The energies of this year tend to bring out the philanthropic and generous aspects of a person. Broader interests and larger activities seem more natural. There’s a more global consciousness.

The year tends to bring completion or fulfillment of projects or dreams — including letting go of the no longer desirable to make way for the new and now worthwhile.

There’s an inclination to support individuals and organizations dedicated to the benefit of mankind.

What walls have you built around yourself?

I love this quote as it’s so true that we are the ones that hold ourselves back….why do we do this???  For myself and my clients It comes down to how we feel about ourselves, what conditioning we have experienced during childhood from parents and school…even going as far back as when you were in your mother’s womb..how your mum felt about herself.  How you were born..was it traumatic?  These experiences play a massive part in what hold us back.

The exciting news is…..we can change this!  We hold the key to letting go of these old outdated beliefs and creating new ones.  I have let go and assisted many clients to change unhelpful beliefs and create new ones.  The amazing cutting edge technique called FasterEFT is how I helped myself and my clients to let go of the past pain and create a better life now.  I find it so empowering to know that I have this powerful tool that I can use to change my inner world and I want to empower YOU too.

Your body is an amazing messenger

I’m sitting in a beautiful cafe out in the sunshine whilst I type this.  My lovely partner is looking after our son so I can have a day to myself.  I’m feeling really vibrant, blessed and lucky that I listened to my body and took action to heal myself.

Over the last few months I’ve really been struggling with life, due to many factors…new baby, lack of sleep, being a mum to four children, relationship ‘stuff’, missing my family in the uk that I haven’t seen in 7 years…you name it, and it has come up for me.

For a good while I was so angry and frustrated.  I wasn’t dealing with these challenges very well and my body decided to show me.  I developed Eczema all over my body and face, I wasn’t sleeping either (even when my baby decided he wanted to sleep).  It got so bad that I was forced to really look at what was going on for me.

I had severe eczema as a child and it was very debilitating for many years…I was disgusted by myself.  How sad that I felt that as a child!  I grew out of it as I got older after changing my diet etc.  I thought that I would never have to go through that again.  So you can imagine when it came up recently, I went into a state of panic.  I literally hated looking in the mirror and I felt so angry and frustrated inside. I wasn’t using the tools that I use on my clients to help them.  I was in a vicious cycle!

It got so bad that I had to look at myself and what was going on.  I started ‘tapping’ (using the FasterEFT technique) to clear the anger and frustration.  I tapped at every opportunity that I got.  I increased my water intake and made sure I was eating healthily.  I reached out to friends and eventually I went to the doctor to get some cream to help.  I’m one for healing myself naturally but sometimes  you need to reach out for conventional help as they do work hand in hand with each other.  The doctor gave me some cream and a mild sleeping aid and I also went and got some natural healing cream for my skin.

That was a few days ago and I’m happy to say that my skin is clearing up amazingly, I’ve slept reasonably well and I’m feeling like I can take on the world again 🙂

I feel thankful that the eczema came up for me as it made me appreciate my amazing body even more.  What a wonderful messenger it really is.  Not only that but I can also help others who have this issue come up for them.

What I have learnt from this is when issues come up for me, I need to deal with them straight away by using one of my amazing healing tools or reaching out to another practitioner.  It’s important to face our emotions within us, otherwise it will play itself out with some symptom, such as anxiety, insomnia, eczema etc.

7 Simple Ways to De-Stress

7 Simple Ways to De-Stress

Meditation/Relaxation: Meditation is an amazing way to alleviate stress from our lives.  There are many ways to meditate.  I highly recommend if you haven’t meditated before, to join a meditation group with a facilitator to guide you.  My dear friend Daniele Graham of Inspired Pathways (www.inspiredpathways.com.au) runs fortnightly meditation on a Saturday in Glenelg.  Also if you are further South my other dear friend Rosalind Sansbury of www.nurturinghumanity.com.au also runs meditation groups and the lovely Sue Shaw of www.sharasanctuary.com.au runs them weekly on a Wednesday in Trott Park.

You can also go on YouTube and listen to a guided meditation, there are millions on there.  I also like to listen to Binaural Beats, which are sound frequencies that relax your mind.  Check out this stress busting Binaural Beat: De-Stress with this.

Another great way to meditate is to focus on your breath….every time your mind wanders, just bring it back to your breath.  You can also say a mantra over and over such as peace or love.  Again every time your mind wanders…..and it will 🙂  Just bring it back to your mantra.

Remember that our minds are wired to think lots of different things….so don’t stress or worry when trying to mediate.  Once you start meditating on a regular basis, you will notice how life flows better.

Tip: Just try one of the above meditations for just 10 minutes a day.

Walking/Exercise

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea…but exercise is an amazing way to de-stress.  We release the feel good hormone when we exercise.  Although it may take a while for this hormone to kick in…let me tell you it does and when it does it feels so good.  I like to run, it really makes me feel good and clears my mind.  I’ve had some amazing insights come to me on a run.

But when we are feeling stressed, just getting out in the fresh air and having a nice relaxing walk can do you the wonders of good, especially if it’s in nature, such as the beach or park.

Tip: When you are feeling stressed….commit to taking a walk even for five minutes and on this walk think about 3 things that you feel lucky for. Journalling 

Sometimes when we are feeling stressed and overwhelmed with life, our minds feel full of fear and worries.  Our worries can seem so big and hard to deal with.  I highly recommend writing down what’s in our minds….it can really help to see them on paper.  When our worries are down on paper, they can seem a lot easier to deal with and we can realise that it’s not so bad.  We can then start working on each thing one by one.  Studies have found that writing about stressful events improves both physical and psychological health.

Tip: Get yourself a beautiful note pad especially for journalling and start writing down your thoughts and feelings, see if you can commit to this for one month.  You’ll soon get excited about writing in your journal 🙂

I’ve got journals going back to my early 20’s…..it’s fabulous to look back and see how far I’ve come.  Might write a book one day he he.

Being Present

This is quite a tricky thing to do as we are either thinking about the future (things to do or worrying about what hasn’t happened yet) or looking back at our past!  We are rarely in the present moment.  When we really focus on our present moment using all of our senses, it brings us back to centre and is very peaceful and calming.  Even if you are just washing dishes; try and just focus on this one task….the feel of the water and bubbles, the heat, the smells, the look etc.

I recently went for a beach walk with my little one and committed to being present during this walk….well I was so surprised at how much my mind wondered off. I had to keep bringing it back to what I was doing.  I focused on my feet touching the ground, the beauty around me, the fresh sea air, my breathing.  I really enjoyed this walk and had so much clarity afterwards.  I believe the more we do this, we can train our minds to be like this all the time – how wonderful!

Tip: Pick one mundane task everyday and be completely present using all of your senses.  Notice how much calmer you feel and you may even actually enjoy what you are doing.

Gratitude

This is a big one as when we are stressed we see the world as a bad place and find it difficult to be grateful for anything.  If you are feeling this way…I suggest to just focus on the basic things you are grateful for, such as “I have eyes that help me see”, “I have a bed that I can sleep on every night”, “I have legs that help me walk”.  Simple appreciation like this can really lift your vibration and pull you out of your stress.

I also recommend to my clients to start either writing or thinking of 3 things that day that they are grateful for.  It’s a great process to do before bed and helps you focus on what you are grateful for instead of what you are stressed about.  I find it also helps me sleep better!

Tip: Before you go to bed, think of 3 things from that day that you are grateful for and maybe even write it in our journal. Helping others

Helping others has been proven to be one of the secrets too happiness…When you help another person, even if it’s as simple as helping carry an older person’s shopping, it really lifts your vibration.

I recently went for a nature walk with my little one and I saw an older gentleman picking a certain flower…I was intrigued and asked him what he was picking and why.  He was delighted to share that he was picking dandelion for his canaries.  He said his canaries love dandelion and are so excited when he gets back.  He thanked me for asking.   This simple interaction with this gentleman lifted both my vibration and his.

Even just smiling at everyone you meet is a beautiful thing to do and makes you feel good – give it a try.

Tip: Go out of your way to do something nice for someone…even if it’s just a smile 🙂 Nurture Yourself

This is a big one that we forget to do or don’t think we deserve…..but this is one of the most important things we can do for our sanity.  It’s imperative that we give ourselves some self care, be it with a massage, a bath with candles or a day at a spa.  Self nurturing is NOT selfish and I know for a fact (being a mum) that I’m able to give so much more to the ones I love when I give myself what I need.

I’m also a big believer in asking for help when life isn’t going very well.  I myself have had many challenges in my life and some recently…I’ve had to reach out to friends and also other practitioners to assist me.  This is not a weakness, this take courage!

How to look after your baby and live your passion…

IT’S VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE…..:-)

Don’t get me wrong…I’m not complaining about my life.  It’s all done with a bit of tongue and cheek…as I know I’m so blessed to be a mum to four boys and have the life I have, but I think it’s great to be real.  It’s very challenging to live your passion and be a mum at the same time.  Working on my business with a 10 week old and 3 boys who are with me 50% of the time is proving to be impossible.

Here’s an typical day for me (when my 3 big boys are at their dads):

6am – wake up before Archie so I can meditate

6.05 – Archie (my 10 week old) wakes up too. I go in and settle him back to sleep

6.07 – I lay back down for my Zen time..aaaahhhhh the bliss

6.10 – Archie awakes again and this time is not going to go back to sleep.  He has the biggest smile that is way to hard to resist.

7am – Feed Archie

7.30 – play with Archie

8.30 – Archie’s sleepy and grumpy, put him down for a nap.  Make myself a quick cup of tea and put a load of washing on.  Run myself a bath as I haven’t managed to wash my hair in a few days and I have dreadlocks.  Relax in bath and slather lots of conditioner on my dreadlocked hair…break 3 of the prongs on my comb because my hair is sooooo knotted.

8.40 – Archie wakes up crying his sweet little head off.  Leave him to cry for 5 mins so I can quickly rush my ‘relaxing’ bath lol. Go in to him and settle him back to sleep.

8.45 – Quickly dry and sit down in front of my lap top to start working on my relationship course.

8.55 – Archie wakes up….no chance of settling him back.  Get him up and put him on his play gym.

9.00 – Archie bored of play gym…so I take him for a morning walk.

9.45 – Get back from walk and Archie has fallen asleep.  So jump back in front of my lap top to begin working again.

10am – Archie wakes up screaming as he’s starving…Feed Archie

10.30 – play with Archie and read him a book

11.30 – Archie ready for another nap…this one is a longer one so I put him down and quickly make myself something to eat as haven’t managed to eat yet (surprised I’m not a stick insect 🙂

12.00 – Feeling ready to start working on my course, hoping to get at least an hour of work done.

12.15 – Archie wakes up….leave him for 10 mins but his crying only increases, go in and settle him back to sleep. Jump back on my lap top.

12.30 – Archie wakes up again….this time he’s wide eyed and not prepared to go back off.  Take him into my bed and he settles again.  I try and creep out to work on my lap top…..Archie wakes up.  I lie back down and we both fall asleep for an hour lol.

2pm – Feed Archie

2.30 – Archie has a little play while I hang out the washing and put some washing away that’s been on my bedroom floor for 2 days.

3.00 – Archie’s bored of playing so I put on some tunes and we dance around the kitchen for a bit…he loves it and so do I.

3.30 – Archie’s cranky again…so I put him down for a nap.  Another window to get some work done, grab a quick drink and settle back in front of my lap top.  Have a quick look a Facebook ha ha

4pm – Archie awake and wanting cuddles and chats 🙂

5pm – Feed Archie

5.30 – Bath Archie, he loves his baths 🙂

6pm – Feed Archie the rest of his feed

6.45 – Settle Archie in his cot too sleep…go into him about 10 x to settle him.

7.30 – Archie’s asleep…right…..now time to work on my course.  Open up laptop and just stare at it for 10 mins.  Not feeling inspired or creative right now.  So flop on the sofa and chill.

Next day….REPEAT the above.

I typed this post with one finger whilst holding Archie….now that’s skill.  It took me about 3 hours lol

Why do I keep attracting the same type of person?

As it’s nearing Valentine’s day I thought it would be apt to write an article about relationships and what I have learnt about them in my journey so far.

Why do I keep attracting the same type of person? This is a question that many of my clients ask me. Let me explain with this simple statement:

We are like magnets and attract what we feel inside.

How does that statement make you feel? When I first heard it I was a little miffed, and thought to myself “as if I would attract that type of person into my life willingly”. But after more research and more unpleasant people showing up in my life, I started to wonder if this statement was true. Each person was bringing up reoccurring patterns within me and pushing the same buttons. I realised it was time to heal myself and take back my power. Well I had to try something 🙂

I decided to learn to become a Faster EFT Practitioner and during my time on this wonderful course many light bulbs went off and really gave me clarity as to why I am like the way I am and why I was attracting certain people into my life.

Let me try and explain this further: Basically before we are born, the stage is set. Our parents have their beliefs about themselves and the world and we are born into this. It’s like when we are born we put on our parents goggles of how they see the world as this is all we know. We learn about how they interact in relationships, how they handle money, their self esteem etc. We are like tiny sponges, taking in all that surrounds us. As we grow we start to look for people and situations that mirror what we feel inside. As this is the simple law of the universe: like attracts like! So if inside we feel not worthy, we will attract someone who will confirm this belief and make us feel un-worthy. Even though we don’t like to treated this way, on an unconscious level if this is how we feel, then this is what we will attract.

On a positive note this is quite empowering for you. If there is a person in your life who’s making you feel a negative emotion, then they are there to show you that there’s part of you that needs healing. Once you heal that negative part of you, it is impossible to attract that type of person or experience again. I can put my hand on my heart and say this is true for me as I’ve actually experienced this and it really is amazing.

Faster EFT was the turning point for me and has empowered me so much. I have been able to heal myself on a daily basis on whatever comes up for me and my life is changing before my eyes.

Why we are like the way we are and how we can change with Faster EFT

If you are not living the life of your dreams, don’t give up.  All that is holding you back is your MIND.

Let me explain further.  Your mind has two spheres to it, your conscious mind and your subconscious mind.  Your conscious mind is your rational mind and is likened to the captain of a ship. It directs and give orders to the Engine Room (your subconscious mind).  You make all of your decisions with your conscious mind, for e.g. Choosing a partner, a house or what groceries to buy.

Your subconscious mind is your irrational mind and accepts what is impressed upon it or what you consciously believe.  It keeps your heart pumping and all your organs functioning.  It’s the part of your mind that stores information such as how to drive, ride a bike and how to walk etc, we do these actions automatically.

Your subconscious mind is likened too the engine room of a ship. It is given orders by the Captain (conscious mind) and trusts this to be right.  This sphere of the mind stores every experience we have ever had, good and bad.  Unfortunately the negatives experiences seem to take presidence as they create more of an emotional charge than the positive experiences do.

Before we are born the stage is set; our parents have their beliefs about the world and how they feel about themselves.  If our parents felt insecure and not good enough, we will most likely take on this belief as this is all we know.

We are born perfect diamonds, pure spirit with no limitations.  We then start to learn about the world around us through our parents perceptions and those around us.  If our parents believed that ‘life was a struggle’,  we will most probably take on that belief as true because that is what we experience.  We then start to build a perception of the world and ourselves and have experinces that confirm what we feel inside.

When you repeatedly say things like “I can’t afford that”, your subconscious mind takes that statement as the truth and sees to it that you will not be able to buy/ afford the things you want.  Instead say “how can I afford that”, that statement just changes the vibration to a more positive one.  We know that like attracts like and the same law applies to ourselves.  What we feel inside about ourselves and the world is what we experience.  If we have a belief that we are not good enough we will attract people and experiences that confirm this.  If you can imagine yourself as a magnet attracting to you what you believe to be true in your mind.

If you are not attracting the experiences and people that you want, it comes down to what you believe in your mind about yourself.  Beliefs are created from our perception and most beliefs are created in our childhood and just grow stronger as we grow into adults.

Too put your mind at rest beliefs can be changed – whoo hoo 🙂

I myself had some limiting beliefs, such as ‘life is a struggle’ and ‘I’m not good enough’.  I created this belief during my childhood as my parents struggled financially and life was hard, I also struggled at school as I wasn’t very ‘academic’.   As a young adult this belief continued and I didn’t feel good at anything.  I started working as a Secretary because I was advised that this was the best career for me to take.   I really didn’t enjoy working in an office and my soul was not happy.  I started reading books about the mind and light bulbs went off for me about how I created my life so far and that I can recreate it with my mind.  I started making changes and came accross Faster EFT, which works with the subconscious mind to release and let go of any limiting beliefs such as fears, addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, pain etc.    I decided to train as a Faster EFT Practitioner and I was finally able to let go of my limiting belief by working with a Faster EFT practitioner and its amazing how my life has changed.  I now run my own business which helps others to do the same and change their lives.   Feel blessed and my sould is now HAPPY 🙂

Clearing Trauma with Faster EFT

Trauma can have a massive negative impact on people’s lives and can cause stress, depression and other dis-ease in the mind and body.  Even though the event was horrible and hard to deal with, we really don’t need to hold on to it, as once it’s happened it is just a memory and memories can be changed.  When you clear out a trauma it doesn’t discount what happened to you it just frees you from reliving it and having to experience it over and over again in your mind causing you pain and emotional distress.

One of my clients experienced a trauma at a very young age and she carried this around with her for all of her life, it affected her in so many ways and it was like a black cloud around her at all times.

I got my client to relive the memory and we used the Faster EFT technique to clear it out of her mind.  Once we cleared it out we re-imprinted her mind with a memory of what she would have liked to have happened.

She left feeling amazing and like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.  A few weeks later I received a message from my client to say that she feels so positive and great now and not only that a problem that she had in her body had disappeared after 15 years of having it.

It just goes to show how the body and the mind are connected and the body can store trauma, unhappiness, anger or whatever negative emotion and show up as a dis- ease.

Are you following your dreams?

My journey on following my dreams,
